The month of June has come in with sizzling heat and many of us would like to be able to look out on our yards and see bright, cheerful colors that are not wilting from the heat. Many selections of perennials, shrubs and tress perform outstanding with the heat by producing an abundance of blooms to cheer us on with the summer weather.
The Rose of Sharon Hibiscus plants are blooming in pure white, ruby reds, pinks and purples and will keep on blooming throughout the summer. Snowball Viburnums are starting to pu on their summer show of lovely globes of soft white flower heads. The Pink Diamond and Kyushu Hydranges are a dazzaling array of white blooms above the deep green foliage. The tree forms are verry attractive this summer as are the #3's. The Daylilys, Lantana, Cannas, Rubeckias and Coryopsis are in full bloom and in vibrant shades of reds, yellows, pinks, and orange.
